Years ago, I began my research by focusing on the narrative and figurative aspects of representation. Using the figure, the colour and the detail, I developed stories, skills that I have often cultivated. I have always observed the world with a cinematic perspective and a very Italian irony that still survives, although in different forms. Not rarely astonished, like an alien engaged in a psychological exercise. Recently, I embarked on a journey backwards to discover who I was before, and maybe who we all were before. I reduced the detail and decimated the figures, leaving to the mark the rowdy testimony of primitivism that preceded me. I’m looking for the mark as an ancestral declaration, pure and feral at the same time.
